Historical data about expat working in Shanghai

Shanghai is a top international city in China. When expats land here, they will find they are not difficult to live here. As more expats came to shanghai, foods from home country and restaurants are also following into shanghai. Expats will not feel alone staying in Shanghai.

Data is from local Shanghai government. In 2006, there had 50k registered foreigners working in Shanghai with an average salary about 5000 to 6000 RMB. Most worked for language teachers and some worked for bilingual magazines.

However, 10% of them changed their jobs in Shanghai frequently.
